Alternative Heating and Cooling System – Airfloor System

The “Airfloor” system (www.airfloor.com) greatly improves on the hybrid ‘Hydronic Heat’ system. It performs better, is simpler to use, reduces maintenance, and has a lower installed cost. It consists of a matrix of steel forms covered with lightweight concrete (requires 4.5”-5”total floor thickness). Warm or cold air passes through the matrix to heat or cool the slab as it flows to outlets at the perimeter of an occupied space. The system combines the benefits of forced air and radiant heat, including humidity control and filtered air.
